1st Day of Summer Vacation

Today, the first day of my summer vacation, came and went. The girls still have 4 weeks left of school but I really wanted to play. I was thinking of them missing one day of school ** really how important is kindergarten... kidding really I am... especially since I am a teacher and all** so we could spend the day at the pool. I didn't want to take the boys and have the girls miss out. I was going to do it too but when I asked them, they refused! Can you believe that? I'm a little appalled but very proud at the same time. They love kindergarten, their teacher and friends and don't want to miss a minute of it. I hope they always feel this way!

Instead of the pool (boo!), we met Paul at the park and had a picnic. It was fun and definitely summer-y. This is their favorite park, the "green" park. They name their parks based on what color they are.

Kylie and Bailey love monkey bars.
Jaxon in the slide. He was amazed.
Kylie loves to play "mommy" to Jaxon.

  1. WOW that looks like a perfect first day of school! I can't believe you are one of "THOSE" mother's that tries to get their kids to skip school! Shame shame! :) I'm glad you enjoyed your first day! I know you will love it when they are all four out...but somehow I'm positive that you will find a way to enjoy it while the girls are still in school!

  4. Haha... my kids name their parks after what colors they are, too! I can't believe how big your kids look, since I was on here last. They look so much older, especially your twins. They're so cute!
