Happy Halloween!

Halloween was a crazy day. We went to our ward (church) carnival in the morning (10-12) and had tons of fun. Most of my pictures of the kids in their costume were from then (at least the best ones). Once again my super awesome amazing mom made the girls their costumes. They both wanted to be Tianna from Princess and the frog but luckily, Kylie wanted to be the princess version and Bailey wanted to be the frog. The costumes were beautiful as usual.
The boys were a pirate and a parrot. Cute right? These I bought, I'm sure my mom's would have been much better but my boys still looked awfully cute :) The one where Jaxon is on Kade's shoulders is the parrot on the shoulder. I don't know if that comes through in the picture but Paul and I were very amused.
I only got one of all the kids. Jaxon was over taking pictures, all he wanted was some milk. These are their pumpkins I never got pictures of. A two for one I suppose.

After the carnival, Kylie and Bailey had a birthday party for a friend from school who they adore from 1-3. Afterward, we had our ward trunk or treat. It was F.R.E.E.Z.I.N.G. Last year the kids didn't even need jackets. This year they were super bundled up.
Afterward, our friends/neighbors the Barons came over. We ate Chili, lots of candy, and the kids trick or treated in the freezing cold rain. It was a busy but very fun day!

Happy Halloween!

Jaxon's 1st Haircut

We've decided to grow out Jaxon's hair but it was all uneven and weird. So I took him to get his hair cut at the super cute Cookie Cutter Hair Cutting place. He sat in a car and watched Curious George. He sat stiller than I've ever seen. The lady gave him a wierd Shag (like teenagers) style that I'm not such a fan of but was able to restyle it more acceptable for an 18 month old boy.
 Isn't he studly?

Preschool Halloween

I've seen the preschool program 5 years in a row and its still stinkin cute! Kade's school is awesome and always does fun things. They get to wear their costumes and bring treats to school, then they come out towards the end and sing some spooky Halloween songs. The kids then parade their costumes around the street. Its adorable and fun to watch. Kade's pirate was awesome!

 Kade in the parade...
Kade's friend (girlfriend maybe yikes?!) that he talks about ALL the time. They were in the same class last year too.

Charlie Brown's the great pumpkin

I probably complain about the weather in Utah way too much.  I really do dislike snow but I think it makes me appreciate the good weather when we have it. October in Utah is gorgeous and I love it! This past weekend was fall break so the kids and I were off school.  Unfortunately, I had a rough week health wise so we didn't get to do much but it was nice to not have anything we had to do!
I did find on Saturday that one of the farms (Farnsworth Farms & Cider Mill) shows "Charlie Brown's The Great Pumpkin" outdoors on Friday and Saturday nights. They had yummy hot doughnuts, the kids went on a hayride, played games, and got to pick out their pumpkins in the dark. It was a great activity and we had fun. It was a warm day and we hardly even needed sweatshirts! L-O-V-E-D it!
 Watching the movie...
Jaxon was more interested in the warm doughnuts.
After the movie, picking out our pumpkins in the dark
 Kylie...
Kade
Bailey... they could get a pumpkin only as big as they could carry. Bailey struggled but this was hers.

All the kids at the end of the night.

Cornbellys

This year I've heard a lot about Cornbellys so we decided to take the kids. Cornbellys is at Thanksgiving point and has all kinds of things for kids to do. It was definitely worth it, so much fun!
We played in the playhouses...
We met the Pumpkin Princess and she read us a story...
Tried on some dress up clothes...
Sat in the Cinderella carriage and even got to be a driver...
 I love cutouts!
played in a room full of corn kernals (this may have been the favorite, but it was kind of gross if you ask me.)
 went on a train ride...
Played in the tiny tot area... Jaxon adored this. It was definitely his favorite!
Jaxon L-O-V-E-S slides and the boy has no fear when it comes to a good slide (or anything else!)
Kade tried on fireman hats and sat in a firetruck...
It was a fantastic day!
