Under the Big Top

We love the circus. We've been almost every year and love it. We always have terrible seats but hey that's part of the fun!

Meeting the animals before...
The four best kids I know...
 At the pre-circus show...
Jaxon loved it!
Our fantastic seats! Yes that wall is the back :)
After the circus, we asked the kids if they had fun. Kade told us " Actually (pause) I was kind of bored. It took like all day..." (it took about two hours)

Happy Birthday Kade!

Kade is FOUR. I can't even believe it. Four years ago today, I had no idea how to be a mom to sons and Kade is all boy. He loves superheros, tools, transformers, and cars. He loves playing any kind of game, board games, computer games and games on my iTouch. His favorite color is green. He loves watching Johnny Test. He's extremely bright {sometimes too much for his own good} and quite the negotiator already. He is constantly cracking us all up. He's fun and always wants to be part of whats going on.   It's hard not to like the little guy. Our family would not be the same without him. We love you and are so proud of you Kade! Happy Birthday!

On the day he was born.
On his birthday.
He really wanted a Buzz Lightyear {we saw toy story this summer} so we got him a talking Buzz Lightyear just like in the movie. He did not want to take pictures (he wanted to play with it) so this was the best I could get.
 Opening Presents- He got some school clothes and a pillowpet {Thanks Grandma/pa Chalmers}. He also got some money{Thanks Great Grandparents} and new school shoes {Thanks Nana &Poppy}
The Cake. He told our babysitter that if I didn't get him a cake, it would NOT be a birthday. Good thing I remembered the transformer cake.
The day after his birthday, I had the day off so Jaxon, Kade and I went to Jumping Jacks. Its a place with all kinds of blow up bouncing toys. This was the perfect place for two active boys. We spent around an hour and a half there. We had the place all to ourselves. It was a ton of fun!

Happy Birthday Kaden boy!

Kade's 1st Day of School

Kade is going back for his 2nd year of pre-school. He will do 3 before kindergarten because of his late birthday. He loves preschool and his friends. This is a new class with all new kids, besides his best friend Amelia. We spent months last year hearing about his "girlfriend" Amelia. We finally convinced him he's too young for girlfriends and now she's just his best friend.
Good luck in school Kade!

My Perfect Day!

Our life is kind of hectic. We have four kids (enough said right?), full time jobs, a family side business, the girls and Kade are in school and all our activities. We are busy people just like most people, I know. Perfect days don't come along very often but I had one recently that i don't want to forget...

My perfect day started out by waking up in a hotel (even though it was a hole). We ate our continental breakfast and headed out to the lake to go boating. Our family loves boating. We are dying to buy our own but are waiting until we live somewhere we can store it and our kids are old enough to enjoy it. We decided to see if we could rent a boat for 4 hours and take the kids out. I was nervous about 2 adults and 4 kids (especially one active baby), I don't like being outnumbered but it was really nice. The girls held on to Jaxon occasionally and Paul drove the boat.  We did a lot of tubing and ALL the kids went (yes even Jaxon!). Both Paul and I got to ride too! Jaxon thought it was awesome! The other kids not as much but to be fair, Bear Lake is freezing cold. We spent time together, without technology, no TV, computer or cell phones. The kids didn't fight at all the whole day (at least that I knew of). Afterwards, we went to dinner at the Bear Pizzeria. Yum.

Seriously, my version of a perfect day: Sun, family and no responsibility. I Loved it and think everyone else had a great time too!
