Our Monday night: demolition of our flooring on the main level since our cleaning company ruined our wood floors and we're replacing them and decorating cookies. Those definitely go together right? At least we had 4 of the cutest helpers.

Then we headed over to Scott and Jenny's for a BBQ. It was a great long weekend.

Bear lake trip
We spent the long weekend at a cabin we rented. Kent & Stacy, Scott & Jenny and Jenni & her boys plus all the kids were able to join us and we had the best time!
We went snowmobiling and sledding most of the time
It was the perfect weekend with some pretty fun people.

5k with the family
We heard about a great opportunity (from the Moodys) to help raise money or a family who's father was diagnosed with leukemia by running a 5k as a family. We'd been talking about doing one for a while and this seemed to be a great opportunity. Afterwards we got pizza and watched a movie in the park. We had a ton of fun!

The Festival of Colors
Right after Kim and Aaron's family sealing, we went to The Festival of Colors down in Spanish fork. Paul's brothers (Kent and Scott) and their families were able to come with us this time (we went two years ago with just the boys, see post). It was much bigger an crazier this time but we had a blast!
The Festival of Colors is a traditional Indian holiday that celebrates the start of spring (from what I was told). People throw chalk at strangers, you see Indian performers, eat food, etc. it was pretty chaotic but that was part of the fun.
The kids before the chaos. The bandanas are used to cover their mouth, the sunglasses for their eyes.

Jaxon wasn't so sure of this at first...
Kylie and Bailey probably had more fun than anyone!
The temple from the back shows just how many people were there

Sealing Weekend
Our Nephew, Carter was sealed to his parents this weekend. Kent and his family came and stayed with us and we had so much fun. The kids all especially had fun together, Kade and Andi especially got along great! We love having them visit.

Farm
One of the best things about where we live is the abundance of farms. We can live in suburbs but still have access to all kinds of farms. We love it in the fall. In August I bought a package on Groupon and we got to go a farm in Utah County. It was small but the kids had lots of fun!
We love fall!

Camping at Utah Lake
Right before school started we decided to go camping last minute. The only campground open was at Utah Lake. We had lots of fun the first day but the second night there was a crazy wind storm. It was so windy our ten was almost flattened. And then there were thousands of nasty bugs, ick. We ended up packing up late that night, Paul took our gear to his brother's and we took off home.

Summer
I love summer. I love being at home with my kids. I love the day to day (most of the time lol). I'm so lucky I have a job that gives me time with my kids while they are little.
I ♥ spending mornings lounging...
♥ playing with my children (bailey made me a "cake")
♥ their creativity (Kade made himself elf ears, he makes me all kinds of fun things)
most of all i love these 4...

Gardner Village
We've never done the whole Gardner Village thing but decided to try it out. Apparently they have a list of elves to find, once you find them all you get a free sugar stick. My parents were visiting and it was a fun thing for all of us to do! The kids had tons of fun!
The end.

Under the Big Top
We love the circus. We've been almost every year and love it. We always have terrible seats but hey that's part of the fun!
Meeting the animals before...
The four best kids I know...
At the pre-circus show...
Jaxon loved it!
After the circus, we asked the kids if they had fun. Kade told us " Actually (pause) I was kind of bored. It took like all day..." (it took about two hours)

My Perfect Day!
Our life is kind of hectic. We have four kids (enough said right?), full time jobs, a family side business, the girls and Kade are in school and all our activities. We are busy people just like most people, I know. Perfect days don't come along very often but I had one recently that i don't want to forget...
My perfect day started out by waking up in a hotel (even though it was a hole). We ate our continental breakfast and headed out to the lake to go boating. Our family loves boating. We are dying to buy our own but are waiting until we live somewhere we can store it and our kids are old enough to enjoy it. We decided to see if we could rent a boat for 4 hours and take the kids out. I was nervous about 2 adults and 4 kids (especially one active baby), I don't like being outnumbered but it was really nice. The girls held on to Jaxon occasionally and Paul drove the boat. We did a lot of tubing and ALL the kids went (yes even Jaxon!). Both Paul and I got to ride too! Jaxon thought it was awesome! The other kids not as much but to be fair, Bear Lake is freezing cold. We spent time together, without technology, no TV, computer or cell phones. The kids didn't fight at all the whole day (at least that I knew of). Afterwards, we went to dinner at the Bear Pizzeria. Yum.
Seriously, my version of a perfect day: Sun, family and no responsibility. I Loved it and think everyone else had a great time too!

Paige's blessing and sealing
This weekend, our neice (Scott and Jenny's little baby) was sealed to her parents in the LDS temple. It was amazing being able to witness it and see how happy Scott and Jenny were. Plus Lynette and Becky (Paul's sisters from Virginia and Texas) were able to come out and we loved seeing them. It was a crazy weekend full of family (I think we got together everyday)
I forgot my camera so I don't have many pics...
The happy family. We are so happy for them.
The Chalmers clan... utter chaos... I don't have a good one haha.
The Chalmers siblings... Scott, Kent, Paul, Becky, Lynette, and Jenni
Cousins... (Kent's little Andi)
Our little family in front of the temple. This is the same temple Paul and I were sealed in 8 years ago.

Sunday Bike Ride
On Sundays, we like to spend time as a family. Our June has been wonderful, great weather not too hot or cold so last Sunday, we went for a bike ride. Paul pulled Kylie, Bailey and Kade in the bike trailer and I had Jaxon on the back of my bike. Near our home is a little "pond" we rode to and hung out for a bit.
We have a nice little trailer thats made for two but we made it work :)
