Zoo Lights
Tonight we went to zoo lights at Hogle Zoo...
We hadn't been before and didn't anticipate how crowded it would be. We only saw 2 animals (lions and tiger) but the lights were so pretty 🎄 and we had a great time.
The best part was seeing Santa.

Demolition and cookies
Our Monday night: demolition of our flooring on the main level since our cleaning company ruined our wood floors and we're replacing them and decorating cookies. Those definitely go together right? At least we had 4 of the cutest helpers.

Temple Square
It wouldn't be Christmas without a trip to see the lights at temple square. Paul sister's family was visiting for the weekend so we went to see them light up. It wasn't too cold but there were a ton of people.

Jaxon and the Fall
Jaxon took a tumble walking (more like running) home with his sibling p. I got a call from a friend who helped him and the girls. He looked like this when I picked him up.
We headed straight for the instacare where he got some numbing cream (it's under the blue bandage). He wasn't sure about it until a very sweet lady told him he looked like a ninja turtle. It snapped him right out of the shock and he was ready to play. He was AMAZINGLY brave. The doctor kept asking if he needed a nurse to hold him down and Jaxon sat perfectly still he whole time (mom almost passed out it was so gross). He's a tough kid.

Saturday Morning
Nothing compares to a little quality family time on a Saturday morning in the chalmers house 😳 I don't even think they know they're sitting by each other

Heart attack
For our babysitter's birthday, the kids decided to write notes all over hearts and put it all over Chey's door. It was a lot of fun.

Happy Halloween
This year we had a Ninja turtle-Jaxon, zombie swat team-Kade, gypsy-Kylie and goddess-Bailey 🎃👻🎃 nana made baileys costume out of Amanda's old material.

We went to the ward trunk or treat with the Barons, a fun Halloween tradition we've had the past 5 or 6 years. Then had chili and went trick or treating. The girls went off on their own for the first time. The boys did a few blocks with dad then were done. They had more fun eating candy and passing it out to trick or treaters.

Vegas
Grandma and Grandpa Chalmers volunteered to watch the kids so we took off with Scott and Jenny for Vegas for the Fall Break. We saw shows: the Blue man Group, Jersey Boys, and the Beatles One Love Cirque du Soleil.

We lounged at the pool (it was way too cold to go in)
Walked around the strip and went to the Hoover Dam. It was such a nice break, we had a great time.

Mini Cheer
Mini cheer last night for these girls. They had been learning a dance Wednesday and Thursday at the high school. They loved it!
Kade is baptized
Kade turned eight and chose to be baptized in our church. He chose to have his dad baptize him and his grandpa confirm him. His nana and poppy came all the way from California. It was a beautiful day and we are so proud of Kade and the decision he made today. We love you Kade.

Afterward at his party, the uncles and Poppy were showing all the boys how protected his cousin was up at college :)

Kades lego project
Kade's teachers post fun pictures of what they're doing in class. On this day,
they did a Lego Challenges where they created a marble maze because it makes the students think critically, find solutions to problems, and authentically use their Spanish language as they communicate together. Kade loved it!

Movies at the Capital
Kylie and Bailey were invited to a Real Soccer game with the Barons so we took the boys to see Frozen on the lawn of the capital building in Salt Lake. While we were waiting for the movie to start, we toured the building. It was fun to see everything. It's a beautiful building.

Utes Opening Game
Dad got three tickets from work to the Utes Opening Football Game. He's been rotating taking each of the kids and it was Kylie's turn to go with him. He also took Uncle Scott. They had a great time and I think we have a new Utes Super Fan!

Jaxon's Big Haircut
Jaxon got a big hair cut before school started. The hairstylist chopped it. All his cute curls were gone but he LOVES it. He looks so grown up and happy. He's such a handsome little guy.

Today was the first day back to school. Kade started 2nd grade and still has two teachers. He's doing the dual immersion program and loves it. Kylie and Bailey are in the 5th grade and this year were put in separate classes. Bailey got the teacher she wanted and Kylie got the friend she wanted. Jaxon had kindergarten testing this week then starts school next week. Its going to be a great year!

Kade has been so excited to go to cub scouts and their first activity was a rocket launch derby. He was pretty proud of his and then it went so high it disappeared over the houses. The leaders told him it was the highest they had ever seen.
Paul Helped him make it.
It was awesome!

Happy 8th Birthday
Its great to be eight. For Kade's 8th birthday, mom had to go back to work but before she left, Kade got breakfast in bed: eggs, bacon and toast. Chey took him with his siblings to see Planes at the theater and then Dairy Queen Blizzards. That night, Kade chose dinner at Chili's. Then we came home for presents. It was a great eighth birthday.

Jaxon starts Soccer
Somebody started soccer today and even got his favorite number, nine. In his world, everything is in nines: nine hundred, minty-nine, nine million, etc. Five year olds learning soccer is one of the funniest/cutest things ever.

Hiking Mt. Timp
Today bailey and Paul hiked Mt. Timpanogos together. It's 16 miles round trip and took them a little under 10 hours to complete. There was hail during some parts and the top was freezing. I'm pretty proud of my tough 11 year old for accomplishing this. She's definitely tougher than me and most people I know.

Chalmers Family Reunion
Our Reunion was at Bear Lake again this year, making it the third time in 5 years at the "Big House." The kids run wild and we always have a great time!
This year we did more than the typical going to to lake. On Monday, we rented Rangers and Razers with Scott/Jenny's Family, Becky/Dennis' Family, Michelle and Jocelyn.
We went boating...
Played at the lake...
The kids did activities with Grandma & Grandpa.
On the last day, we stopped for shakes on our way out.
Paul's immediate family and their families (missing 2 siblings (Jenni and Larry) and their families, and a couple grandkids (Bre and Tanner) on missions). Another end to a fantastic family reunion at bear lake. We had the best time!
On the last day, we stopped for shakes on our way out.
