Soaking up the UVs

We've had a cold winter and a cold spring. WHen we get nice days, we don't waste them :) Today, Jaxon and I spent Sunday afternoon laying on the hammock soaking up the sun after church.  We both had our drinks (his in his Mickey cup). I love these moments with my kids.

Kade and his WOW/MOM

Kade was quite proud of spelling "mom" then even more thrilled when it also spelt wow. He kept telling me to take a picture so I'd remember it.

Kade's soccer (first few weeks)

Every Tuesday for 10 weeks, Kade goes to soccer practice. He's loving it and it seems to be his favorite. His friend James from church is also on his team and James' mom is their coach. Ms. Yorke, who is his kindergarten teacher is the assistant coach. He's having a blast so far (its definitely better than last season/fall).

Every Saturday, Kade has a soccer game.

The first few games and practices were freezing (May is not supposed to be this cold) The first game I froze. The second I was prepared with my snow jacket #sooverthiscoldnonsense

Scott's bday party

Uncle Scott turned 40 this year and had a fun birthday party. The grandkids all had a blast in the photobooth. We got some fun pictures.

Cousins

We love having cousins to play with. Jenny and I promised them we could go to the park after we planned some of Scotts party. Here they are watching outside waiting to leave.

St. George

On the way to St George, the kids watched movies and Paul and I listened to a book. About an hour away, we tuned in to our neice Natalies baptism over webcam. It was so fun to be part of it, to see her dad baptize and confirm her. Technology is amazing!
We had some time to go swimming and to dinner
At a Mexican Restaurant for dinner. Paige and Jaxon had a blast opening and closing the door for customers.
The next day was Easter Sunday. For Easter Sunday, we went to church...
These were the before and afters. We could not get a good picture of the kids lol.

then visited the temple grounds. It was a gorgeous day and a great way to spend a special day. This is the first temple I ever remember seeing/hearing about but had never been on the grounds. I loved it. Happy Easter!

Afterwards we went swimming
Then hiking at Red Reef Trail, then ate our Easter dinner at Outback where all the kids ate free :)
It was such a fun weekend, I'm glad we were able to get away and have Scott, Jenny and the kids join us. I think this may become a new tradition.
