Happy Memorial Day!

This year on Memorial Day, we went out to breakfast at Carls Jr... This might be a new tradition :)

Kade Learns to Shoot

One day, Paul wanted to take Kade when he went shooting. He told me Kade would only be shooting a  BB gun. A BB gun was purchased but instead Kade got to shoot "real" guns that belonged to Uncle Scott. Kade loved it and can't wait to go again. Paul sent me this picture while they were gone... I think this was the mildest gun. Yikes.

Kade's Preschool Graduation

After three years in preschool (we kept him back since his birthday was so close to the deadline last fall), Kade is officially a preschool graduate. Right after the graduation, he asked me " now is it time to go to kindergarten?" He's loved his teachers and his class but he's so ready for the next step (not sure I am though). His preschool graduation was simple. The kids sang songs in their caps (so cute) and posed for pictures. We've loved the preschool and his teachers, Katie and Jolene, who are mother and daughter (Pictures of him hugging them). He's so excited for the future but will miss all his friends and teacher. These last three years, he learned all his letters, numbers to 20, to read short words (mom, dad, cat, etc) and to write his name. He's got a great jump start for kindergarten.
Congratulations Kade!

Milestone: Kade's first 2 wheeler

Kade learned to ride a two wheeler bike. It took him a few minutes but he picked it right up.
His "new" bike I found for $10 at the daybreak garage sales :)
Now he can go on bike rides with Dad and his sisters. He loves it!

Kade's Kindergarten Orientation

The elementary school does a cute little program for incoming kindergartners. The current class sings songs then takes them back to the classrooms. They learn a new "kindergarten" song, perform it with the current kindergartners and get super excited for next year. While they are doing that, parents learn all the rules and expectations of next year. Kade is even more excited than he was before!
The singing...

American Heros

Kylie and Bailey's school project was on an American Hero. They had to write an interview then have it recorded. Excuse my super loud voice, we didn't have time to edit much and I didn't think about it while we were filming.

Kylie's is on Pocahontas...

Bailey's is about Ruth Becker...

Mothers Day

My kids always spoil me for Mothers Day, this year was no different. I got breakfast in bed (yum) and then given my corsage, then we went to church.

And I got the best.mothers.day.present.ever. Paul got me a tv for the kids on mothers day and it definitely makes driving around so much better (it's actually quiet).

Such a great day, I love being a mom to the 4 best kids in the world.

Happy Birthday Jaxon!

Jaxon turned three. I can't believe he's three, he's growing up so fast. For his birthday, we went to McDonalds for lunch, played outside all day, ate hotdogs for dinner, opened presents, ate cake and went to see Lorax at the $2 theater.

A little about Jaxon on his 3rd Birthday...

Jaxon
Favorite Color: Blue
Best Friend: Kade
Favorite Animal: Monkey
Favorite TV Show: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
Favorite Book: Baby faces
Favorite Food: Quesadillas and Hotdogs
Games you like to play: hide and seek. He hides then giggles until he's found
Favorite Toys: Cars, Ipad, keys
Fun Tidbits: He likes to cuddle with Kade when he sleeps. He can play with cars for hours. He laughs more than any kid I know. Everything is hilarious and its contagious. He says "Mo (no)" and "yeah" for everything. He has the vocabulary of a 4 year old but can't articulate most of them (according to the district speech people, he qualified for speech services through the schools. He starts speech therapy/preschool next week).
I couldn't get a good presents or cake picture for the life of me... but at least we can see sort of what he got.
A little video blowing out candles... lol.
He kept blowing but they would not go out. Once he starting spitting, mom and dad started helping.

Crazy Hair Day

The girls, self designed Crazy Hair for Crazy Hair day at school. They told me exactly what they wanted and I tried to recreate it on them. Turned out pretty "crazy" right? It only lasted until lunch but was fun while it lasted...
