Park City Trip

For the fourth of July, we headed up to Park City for the weekend with Scott and Jenny's family. We went to the 4th of July Parade, then headed back to the condo we rented to swim. Jenni, Brickley, Grandpa and Grandma came up for the day.  Ellie was sick so Jenny didn't come up until Saturday night.
That night my shoulder was hurting so I stayed home with Carter, Paige and Jaxon who didn't want to watch fireworks.
On Saturday, we swam all morning.
Dad and Uncle Scott took all the kids except Kylie to go hiking. My shoulder joint was really hurting so I stayed home again.

Happy 4th of July

For the fourth, we rented a condo at Bear Lake with Scott and Jenny's family.  It was the perfect place for us and we had the best time...
As usual, we bought loads of fireworks. The kids enjoyed setting them off, Jaxon would dance whenever the strobe light ones went off.
Friday, we rented a boat for half the day. Then the other half, we played at the beach. On Saturday we just hung out at the lake.
Afterwards, Kade and Bailey wanted to swim at the pool.
It was the perfect weekend!

Happy 4th of July

In the Chalmers house, we ♥ the 4th of July. Paul and I met on the 4th and we've always done something fun. This year, we went to 7 peaks, then BBQed at our place and lit off a bunch of fireworks with Paul's brother Scott's family.
I was entertaining the boys while waiting for everyone to come back. They love the iphone's flipped camera :)
Happy Independence Day!

4th of July

Our family are big fans of the 4th of July. Paul and I met on the 4th of July 10 years ago. We always try to do something fun. Our new favorite thing is to go to Wyoming and visit my aunt and uncle's ranch. We love it and always have the most fun!
I always take way too many pictures, but I wont show them all... Here are a few of my favs.

We always love riding...
Jaxon's first time on a horse with his big brother.
My cousin Lindy's little girl with Bailey.
Out in the pastures
Going down the lane...
Back to Aunt Carol and Uncle Doug's house (notice they're riding all by themselves.)
And playing/fishing in the pond...

Jaxon in his makeshift "playpen" out of the fire pit moved (there was no ash I promise!)
On the 4 wheeler with my cousin, Lindy and our kids. Lindy and I got into some trouble with the 4 wheeler as kids. We may or may not have flipped it. Some of my best memories as a kid are hanging out with Lindy and my cousins at my aunt and uncles. Good times!
4 wheeling in the dry lands. Then we went looking for bones. Yes animal bones, gross I know but they thought it was the coolest ever.
Bailey holding a decomposing steer head. Gross but she thought it was awesome
 Playing outside getting all dirty...
The kids adored the cute baby kitties, frick and frack.
On the last night, Paul and I got to help my aunt and uncle herd some cattle. One of their steers had escaped and we helped herd them over. Carol and I were on horseback and Paul and Doug were on the 4 wheelers. We felt like fish out of water for the most part but had so much fun! Who would have thought? It rained a little and I almost fell off my horse when it fell on its knees while galloping (so scary!) and I am so sore now but loved that I can still ride a horse after all these years! Paul flipped the 4 wheeler too, It was awesome watching him and Doug ram into the steer with the 4 wheelers. PS. A side note: Cows are nasty. They poop everywhere, stink and are kind of mean. I will never feel bad about eating a steak or hamburger EVER.

The boys playing "baseball" with roman candles.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July

For the fourth of July, Scott and Jenny came over and we BBQed and lit fireworks. It wasn't the same without the roman candles (the boys in Paul's family like to shoot them at each other! Yes they are a little insane) but we had a blast! Thanks for coming Scott and Jenny!
I was amazed Blake would hold the sparklers (that's what hes holding in the pic) without trying to touch the fire part. He loved it!
Paul and Scott were in charge of lighting off all the fireworks. It turned into a who can scare the other one more by throwing a jumping firework under them. It was quite amusing for us girls.

Us on the sidelines watching the firework display. People (Kim and Carol) say I don't put pictures of myself on here so I thought that this once I would.
The boys shooting each other.

Scott and Jenny brough their dogs, Tae and Bo. Blake was intimidated by Bo (he's a huge dog but so sweet). The only time he would go near him on purpose was when Bo was looking out the window (Blake's favorite thing to do). This was their common ground.
