Marcia's Aunt and cousin came down to Salt Lake after Christmas to hang out! Here's us all playing in the snow.

Temple Square Then Fondue

Tonight we went to Temple Square with everyone to see all the lights. It was beautiful but freezing.

After going to Temple Square, we went over to Marcia's cousin's house. We ate Fondue (from a really cool fountain) and played guitar hero. Lindy and Jeremy were realllllly good. The rest of us... not so much. Lizzie and Linnie LOVED the fondue fountain. I'm pretty sure they ate most of the fruit and chocolate.

Merry Christmas

We had a great Christmas! Marcia's Grandma and Grandpa drove all the way out from California to be with us and we were so glad. We hadn't spent Christmas with them since Lizzie and Linnie's first Christmas. This was Lizzie and Linnie's most excited Christmas! They really got into everything and were so EXCITED for Santa to come. All Lizzie wanted for Christmas (and I mean all) was a baby alive doll. Now this isn’t some ordinary doll. The thing eats and poops! Gross I know. I tried to convince her that if she wanted to change diapers she could always change Blake's. Luckily, Santa had a few of those and she got what she hoped for. Linnie was also very insistent on what she wanted, a BABY Belle doll. Both girls never wavered on what they wanted. And luckily Santa also had one of those and Linnie got her wish! Blake on the other hand couldn't have cared less about the presents. Before Christmas, I was constantly trying to keep him away from the presents under the tree. He was always trying to open them up but on Christmas, he was much more interested in what everyone else got, especially his sisters. Santa brought Blake was given a cookie jar that you put shapes into. It sings and he adores it! We had Christmas dinner with Scott, Jenny, Grandma and Grandpa. It was a great Christmas! Here are some of the scrapbook pages I made of Christmas morning and the day after.

Kade's Obsession

Kade has a new obsession with sunglasses. Paul took him Christmas shopping today and let him wear his sunglasses to keep him occupied. Who would have thought that he would freak out any time you try to take them off of him. He wore them all day long and wouldn't even take them off for dinner. I think we will have to write Santa and ask for his very own pair of sunglasses...

Decorating the Christmas Tree

We decided to decorate the Christmas Tree one night. Lizzie and Linnie had been begging to do it. So while Dad was at work I set up the tree, battling with the lights. We had to make 3 trips to the store to buy lights. But that night after we put Blake to bed, the girls decorated the Christmas tree. Lizzie and Linnie love Christmas!

Family Pictures

A couple of weeks ago, we decided to take new family pictures. We didn't really have one with Kade in it (yes he is 15 months... sad I know). Paul's brother was nice enough to help us out. We were trying to get one of the three kids together when they all started throwing and playing with the leaves. Those turned out to be the cutest ones we got.

Saturday Bike Ride

Saturday was such a nice day outside that the kids all wanted to ride their bikes. Blake got a power wheels 4 wheeler for his birthday and finally figured out that if you hold the button down the bike moves forward. He hasn't figured out how to steer and I took advantage of that. I turned the wheel so he just went around in circles. He was hysterical to watch. He concentrated so hard on what he was doing. I couldn't help but laugh.

Baby's First Haircut

It had to be done. Kade needed a haircut badly so I took him to Sweet and Sassy and got it done. He did not like it at all as you can tell by the scowl on his face but at the end I got one good smile out of him (even though he has a binkie in his mouth.) What a big boy!

Kade's Walking

Yes, it's a miracle! Kade is finally walking. Well he's been walking for about a month now (when he feels like taking a few steps here and there) but now he is actually walking around all the time now. Once he figured out he can hold a toy and walk at the same time, he was convinced that walking was a pretty good deal and does it all the time now. Its so fun to watch him try to toddle around. Here's a video of him walking. I used my camera to film it and forgot it was sideways... oops.

Halloween Professional Pics

For Halloween this year, Lizzie and Linnie decided to be princesses. Linnie's favorite is Belle (from Beauty and The Beast) and Lizzie wanted to be Snow White. My mom and grandma are amazing seamstresses and made their costumes for them. They are gorgeous. I borrowed the hair piece from a friend of ours (Thanks Cindy). Blake was going to be a little biker man but I couldn't get it to work the way I wanted so Blake is a Frog Prince. Well just a frog but we call him a frog prince so it all goes together. Since the costumes were so great I just had to take them to get professional pictures taken. These are the ones I ordered.

Halloween Party at School

For Halloween this year, Lizzie and Linnie's Preschool had a Halloween party and parade. All the kids dress up in their costumes and exchange treats with their friends. At the end of school, the kids come out, sing a few Halloween songs (apparently there are a few) and then walk around the street in a little parade. The parents take pictures and the kids eat it up. Its a lot of fun.

This is Lizzie's class. She did not sing one word in front of the parents. But when we went home, she sang like crazy.
This is Linnie 's class. She made a new friend today (the little girl in the snow white costume) and they held hands the whole time. It was very sweet. She was so excited she made a new friend.Their class had 4 of the princesses: Belle, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White. Cinderella did not want to be in the picture.

Lizzie and Linnie's Fourth Birthday!

For Lizzie and Linnie's 4th Birthday, we were in the middle of moving to California. Things were hectic to say the least. So for their special day, we decided to have a Girls Day Out where we could all relax and have a day of pampering. We got a baby-sitter for Blake, and we invited some friends (and their mom)who were all able to join us for a day of fun. Before any of our guests arrived, I took Lizzie and Linnie shopping for a new birthday outfit and they were allowed to choose a toy. They each choose a Barbie doll, Lizzie’s was a photographer and Linnie’s was a teacher. They also bought crowns for each of their friends. Their friend came over that morning and was able to play all day with the girls. After lunch, two other friends came over and we all headed out to the movie, Shrek 3. Afterwards we got slushies and headed to the pedicure appointment. Each girl got to have her toes soaked and painted whichever color she chose. Afterwards, there was a runway where the girls got to strut their stuff. They all had a blast. Then, we went home and had some cake.

Lizzie and Linnie Start School

This year Lizzie and Linnie started their second year of Preschool. They are getting so big. It's amazing to see the difference from last year. They seem to be picking up letters and numbers so much easier. Its been so different having them in different classes but it had to happen sooner or later. So far every other day, I have to explain to them why they can't go together. But it has been nice to have each one have a little down time while the other is at school. They love preschool!

We're Back!

Long story short...We couldn't sell the house in Utah so we moved back! We had a great 2 month vacation in California. We were sad to leave but were excited to get back to Utah. Paul had a great job with Target before and started back there a couple of weeks ago. He is working at the Orem Store as Human Resources. Its different than what he is used to, but is excited to be back working. Lizzie and Linnie started back at Carousel Preschool. They are in different classes, which has been a little bit of a challenge for them. Overall, it has been a good experience for them. They are learning to be apart, which is making them appreciate each other more. Marcia will be going back to work on October 22nd.
