Jaxon's Baby BlessingF

Yesterday, we blessed Jaxon.  It really was a great day. After Church, some friends and family came over and we BBQed and hung out. It was lots of fun. Thanks everyone who came and made this day so great for us.

Jaxon before church on his crazy blanket my grandma made him. (We use it all the time Grandma!)
Paul's sister Jenni's family, his brother and wife, and some of our neighbors came over after church. I should have taken more pictures... but I got a few. Brickley, our nephew, was constantly wanting to hold Jaxon. It was very sweet and he was so good with Jax.  I'm so glad I got a picture of it. I love watching the cousins together.  I still can't believe we forgot to get a picture of everyone together. Whoops.

A mommy in training...

Here's a few pictures I've taken recently. My girls are such big helpers with their brothers right now. They want to change Jaxon's diapers, dress him, hold him, put his binkie in his mouth, whatever. They love it all and it makes my life easier too! Kylie especially loves to hold her baby brother. She's always been such a little mother. Its obvious that Jaxon already adores her. This is one of my favorite pictures of them.

West Fest

Saturday was a busy fun day. In the morning, I had a car wash for our church young women. Kylie and Bailey wanted to go with me. They ate snowies and helped wash cars. I loved being able to spend time with just them. They are turning out to be such fun girls.

AFter the car wash, we went to West Fest. Its a thing done in our city every summer. They have booths, games and a carnival. The kids just love it. Its pretty expensive so they each only got to go on 3 rides. The rides are pretty dinky but they had fun. Afterwards, we BBQed at home and watched the fireworks at West Fest.

Too Soon for this...

My kids love summer and playing outside with their friends. Kylie and Bailey play with friends all the time. Kade is still a little young to be outside without adults but Paul was mowing the grass so Kade got to play outside too yesterday. Now, I never thought I would worry more about my boys than girls but with Kade its inevitable. Yesterday, he almost got his first kiss from our good friends daughter.  The boy is two and already it begins. Luckily they were thwarted but it looks like we're gonna have to keep an eye on those two. A few weeks ago the two of them were playing in the playroom and came downstairs telling all the adults that they were just on a date. Such funny little kids.

Here's all the kids playing together outside.
Kade was trying to push Aisly on the swing.

Ready or Not?

I don't know how ready I am for my kids to grow up. It seems to be happening so fast lately.

Last night Kylie lost her first tooth! Its been wiggly for the last couple of days and Paul finally yanked it out (gross!). She couldn't be more excited.

This is before when she still had all her teeth...
After Daddy pulled it out. It was so tiny we were afraid it would get lost hence the plastic baggie. A little kid with missing teeth is too cute.
She's rich from the tooth fairy. I think the tooth fairy must have been very tired last night because she got $3  for one tooth.
I'm sure we'll be posting Bailey's first lost tooth soon but so far no wiggly teeth for her.

All Smiles

Yesterday while the kids were talking to Grandma and Grandpa Chalmers on Skype, Jaxon smiled for the first time! It doesn't matter how many kids you have, little milestones are still just as amazing with the fourth as was the first. I tried to get a picture but my camera wasn't focusing right. This is the best one I got.

One Month Old

Jaxon made it through the first month of his life. He hasn't change much except getting bigger. We are enjoying having him in our family!

Slip n Slide

Before the kids got sick, we got a slip n slide. They had so much fun playing on it but never quite got the concept of running and slidding. They would run, stop then jump. IT was hilarious. The best was watching Paul do it!

Goodbye Swine...

Swine Flu has been one of the worst experiences. It was stressful for us all. Luckily the flu isn't as bad as the regular flu (no puking thank goodness) but the stress of keeping the kids away from Jaxon was exhausting. Today it looks like all the kids and Paul are healthy. We are still keeping them out of church today just to be on the safe side but as of now it looks like we are in the clear... Tomorrow I have a big day planned in which we are gone from the house all day! None of us have left the house in almost two weeks (besides Paul going to work) and I think we are all ready. I know I am. Good bye swine flu and good riddance.

Update 4

Thankfully another day has come and gone with both Jaxon and I feeling fine. No symptoms. The medicine is working miracles. It was worth every penny! Kade's fever is already gone, Pauls sore throat is gone. Kylie and Bailey still have the gross cough but feel fine. We may just survive this awful swine business. So for day 10 of this, we are still staying at home (until the coughs are gone) but at least the baby isn't sick. ( That has been our motto this whole time. )

Update 3

So the medicine is working! Hallelujah! Kade's not near as bad as the girls were. He's still not well but definitely not as bad. Paul's sore throat seems to have disappeared and Jax and I still have no symtoms, knock on wood.

HOpefully this is the beginning of the end.

Side effects of swine flu (this is Kaden after j/k)

Don't let this happen to you
Wash your hands!!!!!!
(I got this in an email this morning and thought it was pretty funny)

Update 2

Its so much easier to update on here rather than calling people or bugging people with emails. This way whoever wants the updates can look here. Last night when I was feeding Jaxon, Kade came into my room telling me he wasn't feeling well. I took his temperature and it was 101.5. We had really been hoping the boy would be spared but it was not to be. He has the swine too. To make matters worse, Paul woke up with a scratchy throat. Lovely I know. I called the pediatrician, this morning and she was able to prescribe the anti viral medication that if you get within the first 24 hours you can take to reduce the illness. Then I called Paul's doctor then mine (I'm taking it to be safe and supposedly some of the antibodies could go through my milk to Jaxon who cannot take it because he's too young.) Oh lets hope this works. I don't think I can go through with 10 more days of this!

Swine Flu... Update

Last night Kylie's temperature returned back to normal then this morning Bay's was normal. But then tonight, Kylie was back to 101.1. What a tease! So now I guess I should expect Bailey to do the same. Uggh. Did I mention I HATE SWINE FLU!
