Girls Camp

I spent the last few days at girls camp at Bear Lake and loved every minute of it! It was strange to be away from my kids but I always loved girls camp when I was younger so it was a lot of fun to go as a leader and hang out with my girls. We had a blast swimming in the lake...
and boating (the water weinie was awesome!) Hannah, Emily and I were the champions. I'm not sure how I did it all I know is I was not looking forward to my face planting in the cold lake but it was a blast when I did :) ...

and we even did some biking. I am proud to say I rode on an 18 mile bike ride! Can you believe it? I couldn't, and my tush still hasn't forgiven me for it! We climbed 1 very large hill and many little ones. I was very proud of myself for making it the whole way since I hardly ever touch my bike. Every single girl and leader who started the bike ride finished, we were so proud of all our girls!

This was all of us at the half way mark (9 miles!)
Here are Lisa and I with all our beautiful beehive girls (the 12-13 year old girls at church)! I was a little nervous to have them pick me up but they are some tough girls!

I had to come home early to pack for California. We are leaving Saturday (Paul will fly out to meet us there on Thursday night) and won't be back until August 3rd. While we are there Paul and I will be stimulating the economy (with our economic stimulus package... thanks George W) by flying to Hawaii with Scott and Jenny! We're so excited. I'll add some pictures of California and our trip when we get back from California.

  1. I enjoyed camp also! Did you end up with any mosquito bites? I have VERY large bites on my back they had to come from deer flies but that was all I got. Thanks for saying I take good pictures but if you’re referring to the ones of the flag on my blog I got them from the internet sorry to disappoint! I’m not that good!! The pictures of everyone on the water weenie are my favorite’s legs going in all directions! Hope you are having a good time on vacation :)
